information Security Officer
THE POSITION: Under administrative direction and in collaboration with the Chief Information Officer (CIO), The Information Security Officer (ISO) plans, organizes, evaluates, implements, and directs the appropriate operational security posture for County information systems. This position manages the day-to-day security operations; oversees the development and implementation of County-wide security policies, procedures, and standards to protect the County from internal and external threats and vulnerabilities. Additionally, the ISO serves as subject matter expert to County management on cybersecurity operations and activities, provides security training and awareness, and performs related work as assigned.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: Must possess keen observation skills and have extensive and recent experience working in the field of information technology cybersecurity. Excellent organizational and communication skills (both verbally and in writing), are highly important for successful performance. The selected candidate will have knowledge of professional development, interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals including; internal staff, consultants and vendors, within a diverse community. Experience managing budget and a team of information technology professionals in desired.
