The General Outpatient Therapist/HS Spec II
This is a regular full-time position for a therapist (QMHP) to provide integrated behavioral health services using training and experience in evidence-based practices for people with co-occurring mental health conditions such as serious mental illness, trauma disorders, and/or moderate mental health conditions. Performs a variety of tasks consistent with the experience and abilities of the individual including, but not limited to assessment, treatment planning, referrals, individual therapy, care coordination and case management, crisis service, and skills training within a primary care clinic.
Provides or participates in consultation, in-service training, and education programs. This position provides a great opportunity for professional development and advancement in clinical skills.

For the 2018-19 plan year, the County pays 99% of the monthly premium and employees pay 1% ($15.10 per month) for the Base Plan. With this plan, employees are eligible for a $100 a month contribution into an HRA VEBA account. Buy-up plans are also available.
Retirement - PERS (Public Employee Retirement System) contribution is 100% employer funded, which includes both contribution to PERS pension and IAP accounts (IAP contribution is 6% of salary).
Short-Term Disability – 100% County paid
Life insurance - $6,000 for employee/$2,000 for spouse and children – 100% County Paid.
Vacation/Sick Leave - Flexible Earned Time (FET) is a combination of vacation and sick leave. To start, you will earn 12.38 hours per month and future accruals increase based on years of service. After a year of service and depending on FET balance, employees may sell-back up to 40 hours of FET per year.
The Qualifications
An MSW or Master’s degree in a social services field from an accredited school and at least one (1) year of clinical work or Master’s level Intern experience in a setting relevant to the duties and skills noted are required in addition to certification as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP). Must be willing to work towards becoming a LCSW or LPC. Preference will be given to those with training in DBT, suicide intervention, and substance abuse disorders. The successful candidate must have an NPI number or the ability to obtain one upon employment. Successful completion of a background check is required.

The Candidate
This position requires working knowledge of techniques specifically related to community mental health services and the following abilities: to understand the behavior of people under stress; to develop and maintain effective cooperative relationships with clients and their families, the community, physicians, law enforcement agencies, the courts, and public and private administrators; to interpret community mental health and chemical dependency services, and to prepare concise and complete client treatment and progress records. Must be comfortable working with clients with an age span from child to adult, and be comfortable working with an interdisciplinary team. Typing and computer proficiency is required for collaborative documentation. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, and will be dependable, organized, self-directed, detail-oriented, and possess the ability to work in a team environment and to interact with co-workers, clients, and the public in a courteous, professional manner.
