Maintenance Worker (County Roads Extra Help)
$15.26 per hour
There are multiple openings with the Yakima County Public Services, County Road Department. This is an intermittent, on-call, extra help, temporary position. The purpose of this position is to perform routine activities related to maintaining roads and facilities, building and surveying County owned roads. Performs other tasks as required. Work schedule may be scheduled up to 8 hours or more per day.
Initial screening of applicants will take place every two weeks or when the hiring authority determines a sufficient applicant pool has been established. Subsequent screenings will take place periodically throughout the recruitment based on the needs of the department. Apply immediately. Position will be closed once vacancies are filled
Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of relevant experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the essential duties of the job.
Required: Valid WA State Driver’s License and proof of insurance, if requested.
