Description:
Drives recruitment objectives by providing administrative support and coordination to the Talent Acquisition functions in the Employment Office.
- Responsible for administrative functions of the Talent Acquisition processes in the Employment Office, assisting with applications, offers, offer acceptances, I-9s, new hire paperwork and pre-employment checks such as drug testing and physical scheduling and background check administration.
- Reviews applications as part of the application process. Maintains and updates applicant tracking system (Taleo/HCM).
- Ensures system data integrity to achieve full utilization of tracking system.
- Ensures that all pre-employment screenings (i.e. drug screens, background checks, MVR, are conducted and applicant flow maintained.)
- Performs basic office administrative functions, such as checking the mail daily, ordering supplies, answering phones, greeting applicants and other similar functions.
- Assists with new hire preparation, ensures all paperwork and new hire information is in place.
- Participates in job fairs and recruitment efforts as necessary.
- Provide front desk/reception coverage. Must have proficient knowledge of emergency plans and take action as required.
- Promotes Affirmative Action goals and initiatives; ensures adherence to OFFCP guidelines, employment verification/I-9 compliance and to all federal, state, and local regulations governing the employment process.
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Human Resources or related area preferred. High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an HR related field.
- Prior security and/or safety training preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish highly desired.
- Knowledgeable of Employment Law, Federal and State compliance. Knowledgeable of sourcing, technological trends and best practices of talent acquisition
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills. Strong written and verbal communication, with excellent customer service skills. Organization, attention to detail, problem-solving and collaborative skills.
- Ability to effectively multi-task, prioritize and achieve objectives by set timelines. Strong ability to promote WEI and the community.
- Ability to take a proactive role in refining processes and procedures.
