Prospect Researcher
The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is seeking applications for a Prospect Researcher for the University Advancement division. This is a full-time, permanent staff position.
Purpose of the Position: The primary purpose of this position is to research potential donors for UNC Charlotte. This position will assist Major Gift Officers, Leadership Gift Officers, Planned Giving, Corporate and foundation relations fundraisers investigate prospects with the best potential. This position does the research for fundraisers, Alumni, Deans, AVC of Development, VC of Advancement and even the Chancellor’s office.
Salary: $53,772 - $60,000
Minimum Qualifications: Completion of coursework for a four-year college degree in a discipline related to the field assigned, and two years of progressively responsible experience in gathering, editing, and analyzing data for social and economic research, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Essential Job Duties: Gather and analyze data from many sources to create donor/prospect profiles. Analyze and interpret data to promote the strategy of the development team. Meet with the development team to manage portfolios effectively and efficiently. Search for missing or obscure data on our alumni, donors, and friends. Lead gift officers through moves management.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of direct prospect research experience. Demonstrated proficiency with online databases such as LEXIS-NEXIS, iWave or Target Analytics. Demonstrated experience in prospect/relationship management. Knowledge of Banner Advancement or Salesforce. Portfolio Management. Prospect Strategy and Research experience in a higher education setting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
