The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is seeking applications for a Business Intelligence Specialist for the Office of OneIT. The Office of OneIT provides highly reliable information technology infrastructure, tools, and services to empower the University to achieve its academic, research, administrative, and service goals.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Essential Job Duties: This position directly supports University business intelligence, data warehousing, and improved reporting processes. This lead technical position is directly responsible for maintaining and supporting all technical business intelligence application software and supporting systems.

  • Configures and administers specialized business intelligence applications for use with large databases.
  • Researches and implements new or specialized technologies, and analyzes and creates programming for enterprise-level programs.
  • Conduct extensive research and coordination with vendors, users, decision-makers to write the specialized applications needed for reporting purposes.

This work is specialized as it involves creating complex logic within third-party applications such as WebFocus, Tableau, Power BI, SAS, or SQL applications and processes for departmental super users, implementing technical solutions from the Operational Data Storage (ODS).
