Applies Engineering theories and principles to both simple and complex work in research and development including the design, testing, and evaluation of performance data for the development of new products. Works with product design teams on new product development and improvements to existing products. Perform analysis to validate designs, including FMEA and other failure analysis.

Minimum 5 years experience required. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (ME and/or EE) or equivalent international degree required. Master’s degree in Engineering (ME and/or EE) a plus.
Strong engineering/physics fundamentals along with test experience preferred; ability to interface with staff at all levels in other departments i.e. Procurement, Manufacturing, Sales & Marketing, as well as with customers.
Expertise in Solidworks 3D/2D required. Proficient in other software programs necessary for position.
Technical skills include, but are not limited to, performance calculations, application of industry standards for dimensioning and tolerancing, tolerance stack-up analysis, Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA), stress analysis, Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA), life data analysis, pilot line evaluation, code/safety issues, etc.
Manufacturing environment and processing experience required (assembly methods, machining, molding, casting, extrusions, familiarity with standard precision measuring techniques, etc.).
Previous experience in the fluid handling industry and robotics & motion control would be a plus.
