Coeur d'Alene Idaho based Civil Engineering/Land Surveying Company is hiring a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor to oversee all phases of surveying on multiple projects.  A license is required, as this individual will be the surveyor of record on all projects from small, residential projects to large-scale high density housing, commercial development, public works and parks/recreation projects located throughout North Idaho.

Licensed Land Surveyor Responsibilities:

- Preparing proposals including write ups on project specific approach, scope, selection of staff, prior project experience, consultants, preparation of fee proposals, schedule etc

- Participate in contract negotiations, approve client billing, and secure contract amendments for changes to scope and fees

- Manage a survey team, and develop working relationships with client, contractors, stakeholders, relevant agencies.  Ultimately responsible for the success of the project

- Produce record of surveys, ALTA surveys, short plats, long plats, final plats, boundary line agreements, boundary line adjustments, elevation certificates, easement exhibits and any document required for project completion

- Research legal and survey records to obtain information about property boundaries including deeds, easements, vacations, dedications, right of ways, etc.

- Perform topographic mapping and construction staking preparation

- Adjust conventional and GPS control networks

- Comprehend and create standard and complicated legal descriptions

- Resolve boundaries using accepted boundary and legal principles and case, state, and federal laws

- The ability to work independently, multi-task and manage multiple projects

- Strong communication skills.

- Assist colleagues whenever necessary

- Other duties assigned

Licensed Land Surveyor Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, or equivalent years of experience in Land Surveying

- Professional land surveyor license in Idaho, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.

- Project Management experience including managing staff

- General knowledge of computers, Microsoft office, Bluebeam, etc.

- Proficient experience with Auto CAD Civil 3D

Full time, in person/office
