** Commercial Operations Ramp Agent **

Purpose

Responsible for providing ramp services to commercial airline operations to ensure safe, secure and on-time arrival and departures. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate knowledge of proper ramp usage, safety, security.
  • Marshal aircraft at arrival and departure with proper aviation hand signals.
  • Communicate with flight deck.
  • Properly drive and/or operate ground service equipment to include aircraft tugs, push-back, belt loader, baggage cart, air stairs, water and lavatory carts, aircraft ground power units and air starts.
  • Immediately report all equipment malfunctions or failures to the COS or COCS.
  • Properly load and unload baggage and ensure timely delivery to the designated location (bag room, jet bridge, baggage belt, etc.)
  • Provide special handling of baggage as required.
  • Load and unload wheelchairs and child strollers and deliver to designated
  • Perform lavatory and potable water
  • Provide aircraft and jet bridge with air conditioning.
  • International cabin grooming and garbage handling.
  • Assist with maintaining inventory of aircraft supply of pillows, blankets, toiletries and grooming supplies.
  • Available to work nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Inspect ramp and gate areas to ensure they remain free of FOD. Properly dispose of FOD when found.
  • Maintain valid SIDA badge and US Customs and Border Protection seal.
  • Comply with SACjet’s uniform standards.
  • Comply with all federal, state, municipal, airport authority and airline security
  • Other duties as

Job Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand
  • Pass a required pre-employment substance screen and background check
  • Required to work flexible shifts, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to lift 75 pounds consistently
  • Capable of climbing, bending, kneeling, crawling and stooping often
  • Work in various weather conditions
  • Work under pressure while maintaining near 100% accuracy and on time performance
  • Proficient knowledge of ramp equipment
  • Must complete paperwork accurately and have basic computer skills
  • Excellent customer service skills and a strong work ethic
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Must maintain 100% compliancy with all assigned
  • Must be able to legally work in the U.S.

Education:

High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)

 

** Commercial Operations Wheelchair Agent **

Purpose

Responsible for providing friendly customer service to commercial airline passengers including, but not limited to greeting arriving passengers, handling special service needs such as access to passenger areas, wheelchair and aisle chair assistance, and providing special requests as needed. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist passengers upon arrival and departure.
  • Provide assistance with wheelchairs and aisle chairs
  • Anticipate the needs of customers and respond accordingly
  • Communicate pertinent information with customers.
  • Proactively seed a solution to operational problems.
  • Comply with SACjet's uniform standards.
  • Immediately report to PSS any unsafe and/or unhealthy conditions and occurrences that cause injury or damage to any person or property.
