We are currently looking to fill a Press Operator position for our Fresno, CA facility. This will be a 2nd shift position:

Key Performance Indicators
- Health and Safety – Incident Rate
- Quality – Plant Return Rate (PRR), Laminate Waste, and First Pass Yield
- Productivity – Sets per Hour, Utilization, Efficiency, and Splice Performance

Key Accountabilities
- Ensures high quality labels are produced in a safe, and efficient manner
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Follows safety and operating procedures for all plant and ancillary equipment and reports safety hazards to supervisor
- Operates a multi-station flexographic printing press including automatic splicer up to 6-color stations, UV curing system, die stations, TABLIFT® unit, turret rewinder, and LVS
- Troubleshoots press and printing issues as needed
- Inspects all work order set-ups and monitors production runs for quality defects
- Inspects labels to verify conformance to specifications and Sinclair standards
- Tracks die and plate life as required
- Provides feedback on production schedule to Leads, Supervisor or Manager, when applicable to support production efficiencies
- Performs routine maintenance on production equipment
- Completes required documentation including (but not limited to) daily time sheet, housekeeping log, and weekly/monthly/yearly press PM sheets
- Meets or exceeds label production targets (PKIs)
- Participates in continuous improvement projects as assigned
- Keeps work area, machines, and equipment clean
- Travels to remote manufacturing plants as assigned
- Enters maintenance requests as needed
- Attends weekly production departmental meetings and contributes as necessary
- Cross train in all label production departments
- Other projects and/or duties as assigned by supervisor/manager
Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education equivalent (GED) - required
- 2 years printing experience or combination of experience and training.
- General computer literacy
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures
- Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of the organization
- Able to carry out instructions and problem solve in a group or team and independently
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work in team environment and independently with little supervision
- Punctual
- Calm demeanor
- Must be able to perform in a high pace work environment
Desirable Qualifications
- Certificate in Flexo-graphic printing
- Experience with Flexo-graphic printing
- Experience running comparable machinery
- General understanding of Mark Andy and Nilpeter minimum 2 years
- Computer literacy w/databases, word processing, and spreadsheets
- Knowledge of butt splicers and Turret rewinders
- Knowledge UV printing
