EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, SACRAMENTO TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY

The Sacramento Transportation Authority (STA) is looking for an individual to serve as the Agency’s Executive Director. The STA is primarily responsible for administering Measure A, a voter-approved 30-year sales tax program providing funding for local transportation services and capital projects. In addition, the STA is the Sacramento County administrator for the SacMetro Freeway Service Patrol and the Sacramento Abandoned Vehicle Service Authority which deals with the abatement of abandoned vehicles. The Executive Director manages all operations/activities of the STA. The individual who is selected for this position must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to articulate STA’s vision and build community awareness of Measure A. Strong leadership skills are necessary to balance the varied perspectives of major stakeholders, business entities, and the general public. The position also requires project management, report writing, and planning/programming skills.
