Human Resources Manager
Salary Range: $9,430 - $12,580/mo. DOE
($113,160 - $150,960 annually)

The Port of Stockton has an immediate opening for a Human Resources Manager who will be a transformational change agent in a thriving maritime industry.
The ideal candidate possesses the ability to lead, mentor and develop a diverse HR team. The incumbent is not easily shaken, a proven leader, and has unparalleled discretion and confidentiality. The successful candidate will assist Dir. of HR & Admin Services with policy development, planning, administration and operations of HR.
This includes but is not limited to recruitment and selection, training and development, compensation, benefits, workers’ compensation, performance appraisal and employee/labor relations.
Requirements:
Equiv. to graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, social sciences or a closely related field, with a preferred emphasis in HR, and six (6) years of professional-level work in HR administration and management, preferably in the public sector.
At least three (3) of the six (6) yr. of exp. must have been at a supervisory or management level or higher.
Labor relations exp. is required. Advanced degrees in a related field may be substituted on a yr. for yr. basis depending upon work exp. Professional HR certification is highly desirable.
