Research Analyst
Position Summary:
Philliber Research & Evaluation is seeking a Full Time Research Analyst to join our team of evaluators. The successful applicant should have a masters’ degree with training in statistical analysis. The successful applicant should be skilled in the use of STATA. As the research analyst, you will be in contact with clients regularly to monitor their data and solve issues related to the evaluation of their program. You will manage a variety of projects from different areas, including healthcare agencies, afterschool programs, educational programs, and others. The candidate should also be able to manipulate and manage data using Excel. The analyst will be based in our home office in Accord, New York, located in the beautiful Hudson Valley. Bilingual (English and Spanish) candidates are strongly preferred.
Job Functions:
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data (such as survey data, focus groups, interviews, and health records) including bivariate, multivariate, and analyses of multi-site evaluation data.
- Travel to visit clients (our clients are not local and travel is required for data collection and other project demands).
- Collect and analyze data.
- Design surveys for clients based on their needs.
- Collaborate with program facilitators to monitor goals and outcomes.
- Synthesize and summarize data for clients.
- Provide data analysis and reporting assistance.
- Use graphics to illustrate data.
- Perform other duties as required by the senior staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree strongly preferred.
- Experience managing and analyzing data.
- Experience with statistical data analysis software (e.g. STATA), and advanced Excel skills including analytic functions (i.e., Pivot tables, formulas, etc.).
- Experience in education settings, human services, healthcare, or public health is preferred.
- Experience with research projects (especially randomized control trials).
- Familiarity with program evaluation methodologies, study design, and statistical analysis.
- Familiarity with data management software; experience building databases a plus.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated organizational skills, ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously/independently.
- Bilingual strongly preferred (English and Spanish).
- Be a U.S. Citizen, non-citizen national, or foreign national possessing a visa permitting permanent residence in the U.S. (Alien Registration or “Green Card”). Student visas and temporary work visas do not qualify.
