Work Schedule: Full-time; Monday to Friday 8am-5pm with one-hour lunch

The Human Resource Assistant is an entry-level position. HR experience is not required, so this is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in the field who wants to gain that experience. The person we hire will need to have intermediate to advanced experience in an office setting as detailed in the Ability to section below.
Job Duties
Present orientation (one on one) Process new hire paperwork Ensure compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Verify employment eligibility using E-Verify Process benefit enrollments, cancellations, or changes Reconcile and approve benefit invoices Maintain personnel and medical files in hardcopy and electronic format Scan and file documents Promote and monitor employee participation in the Wellness Plan Prepare and deliver digital and written company communications Manage applicant tracking system (post jobs, print applications, update candidate stage/disposition) Assist is mass mailings Support receptionist in answering phones and greeting visitors; will cover the lunch hour on rotation with other staff Other duties as assigned by HR Director
Ability to/Requirements:
Be at least 18 years of age or older Possess a valid driver's license with insurable driving record Learn, apply, and articulate LL Pelling policies and procedures Represent LL Pelling and perform duties in a professional, responsible, and trustworthy manner Follow oral and written instructions in English Maintain confidentiality and security of documents in hardcopy and electronic format Demonstrate a working proficiency of the internet for recruitment, processing benefits, and research Demonstrate an intermediate or advanced proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite for data entry, spreadsheets, word processing, and e-mail Operate common office equipment such as printer/copier/fax machine, postage machine, multi-line telephone, scanner, laminatior, and paper-cutting machine Interact effectively with persons representing widely divergent backgrounds, interests, and points of view Perform administrative tasks with a high degree of speed and accuracy Provide customer service that is courteous and responsive Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization Be detail-oriented when working with documents and information Have clarity of speech and hearing which permits effective communication Have sufficient vision which permits moderate production and a review of a wide variety of materials in both hardcopy and electronic format Lift and/or move up to 35 pounds as needed Stand, sit, squat, kneel, bend, twist, and reach
Education Required: High School Diploma or GED
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
