LEGAL HELP WANTED
Jefferson County is currently seeking licensed attorneys to join our team. Departments include County Attorney, Public Defender and District Attorney’s offices. Duties may include: providing legal defense and counsel to indigent individuals in criminal and family courts, assisting with the prosecution of criminal violations of law, and supporting enforcement and juvenile justice proceedings in Family Court. Excellent fringe benefits package includes: health & dental insurance, NYS Retirement, NYS Deferred Compensation and Flexible Spending Account (FSA). Jefferson County residence required after appointment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Possession of a license to practice law in New York State.
