Manager, Learning Experience and Design
Responsibilities:
- Creates, conducts and analyzes needs assessment to determine and prioritize organizational needs.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Learning Experience & Design department.
- Manages the design, revision, and development of training programs to meet the ongoing needs of the organization with a focus on associate accessibility, certification, and engagement.
- Communicates and negotiates to gain consensus and sign-off on key initiatives with a diverse set of cross-functional stakeholders.
- Able to aid in the development and creation of design documents, course content, lesson plans, audio/visual aids, test criteria, handouts, learning aids, and evaluation and measurement tools for all training programs.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of training programs by analyzing learner feedback and ensures content in training programs meets the business needs of the organization.
- Provides direct feedback and coaching to team members to aid in the refinement of existing skills and the development of new skills.
- Maintains a keen understanding of technology training trends, development, and best practices.
- Travel to other Lyft offices, retail centers, and partner sites may be required (domestic/international).
Experience & Skills:
- 6+ years of experience in a training or learning & development role preferred
- Bachelor s degree or certification in teaching, instructional design, communications, or related field.
- Demonstrated ability to act as an organizational lead and provide coaching or act as a mentor to team members.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, exercise good judgment, exhibit strong leadership, and achieve results through others.
- Ability to conceptualize and analyze complex issues and communicate them appropriately to leadership and peers.
- Shared service or call center experience is a plus.
- Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models.
- Lesson and curriculum planning skills.
- Experience with LMS implementation and administration.
- Expert level knowledge in traditional and modern training methods (classroom training, e-learning/webinar/online platform, workshops, simulations, etc.)
