Sales Engineer
Corning Optical Communications LLC in Charlotte, NC seeks Sales Engineer, South Florida and Caribbean. Will be responsible for maximizing sales of Corning Optical Communications (COC) products in South Florida and Caribbean region. Duties include: developing and executing territory sales plan focused on delivering network solutions that leverage COC's comprehensive capabilities; meeting or exceeding sales budgets for assigned products; generating a preference for COC products over those of competitors through a balanced mix of sales calls to end users, contractors, cable assembly houses, distributors and consultants; managing Network Preferred Installer Contractor and Consultant Elite Advantage programs; coordinating sales calls with primary distributor representatives to increase sales penetration; providing ongoing training to distributors to assist them in effectively selling COC product solutions; providing timely call reports and meeting summaries for face-to-face and telephone conferences; and developing and maintaining a Territory Opportunity Board for projects over $25,000. Work-at-home benefit is available in South Florida. Position requires 50% domestic and 25% international (Caribbean) travel. Position requires Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any discipline) or related field (i.e. Computer Science) + 4 years of technical sales experience in the telecommunications industry. Experience must include: 3 years of experience using SalesForce.com to create and maintain a project pipeline and forecast; and 3 years of experience with distribution sales of telecommunications and fiber optic products.
