Public Safety Dispatcher l
The City of Yuba City is currently recruiting for a Public Safety Dispatcher I. This is an entry level class in the Public Safety Dispatcher series. Public Safety Dispatchers operate police, fire, and local government radio equipment, dispatch mobile units and other equipment while doing related work. Dispatchers are expected to work a variety of shifts to include; both day and night shifts, holidays and weekends. This position works out of the Police Department, which is located at 1545 Poole Blvd. Employees in this class are in a training program assigned to a trainer at all times.
Minimum QualificationsEducation: Graduation from high school or equivalent.
Experience: Experience utilizing computers, answering phones, and information gathering and/or processing. Experience in a high stress/high volume workload environment is a plus.
Licenses/Certifications: Possession of a valid California driver's license.
