Purchasing Clerk
Full-Time Non-Exempt ($48,107 + Benefits)
Cheltenham Township is seeking a competent individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday in the Accounting Department in the Cheltenham Township Administration Building.
Duties include but are not limited
- Preparing specifications for purchasing of materials, supplies, equipment, services and goods
- Coordinate timely receipt and condition of procurements
- Maintains purchasing records, catalogs and files
- Acts a liaison in municipal procurement and public bid process
- Reviews contracts and warranties
- Attends meetings
- Assists in bid process for capital projects, makes recommendations, perform confidential and sensitive payroll activities
Qualifications
- Must have an high diploma as Degree preferred
- PA Drivers License
- Two (2) years job related experience
- Knowledge of budgets, basic accounting principles and payroll procedures and excellent computer skills.
