Billing Document Preparation: Prepares batches billing documentation for electronic scanning. Maintains quality control of scanned documents by reviewing for accuracy and clarity. This role requires the individual to resolve document errors and research archived records for billing and collections assistance. Familiarity with electronic imaging software, such as Laserfiche, is required. Documents include billing tickets/facesheets, payments/denials, billing correspondence and medical records. Download medical records from Cerner, EPIC, and Surgical Notes. Sort and distribute insurance claims/correspondence, checks, and incoming faxes and medical records to the appropriate parties. In addition to scanning, the individual is responsible for managing the filing and storage of the original hard copies including and not limited to managing the retention and destruction dates through Iron Mountain.
Office Supply Management: Office supply purchasing and management. This is a great opportunity to develop an efficient and cost effective system for purchasing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook, electronic scanning systems such as Laserfiche, PhyGenSys for medical billing.
Must be physically able to sit for a long period of time. Fine motor manipulation needed as well as good hearing and visual acuity to perform daily tasks. Able to perform tasks requiring occasional lifting up to 30 pounds. ADA accommodation requirements as set forth by state and federal regulations will apply.
