The monthly pay range is from $6,894 - $8,381
The Accountant II performs professional accounting duties that involve judgement and discretion in the analysis and application of accounting principles and practices in fiscal controls and records, preparing transaction, and initiating reports. Incumbents in this position will use considerable independence, initiative and discretion while planning, organizing, reviewing, evaluating, developing, and implementing policies and procedures for assigned programs, budget and reporting, legislative analysis and program evaluation, as it applies to accounting functions.
A BA/BS degree from an accredited college is desirable; At least Nine (9) years previous experience working in accounting/finance performing duties similar to those described in the job description, preferably for a public agency; Experience with government accounting is highly desirable.
