Journeyman Welder/Fabricator NEEDED ASAP

Hiring Full-time (year-round) Experienced Journeyman Metal Fabricator/Welder specializing in ornamental iron railing and gates.

Alpine Metals was established in 1987 in South Lake Tahoe and has been busy ever since.  We do top notch work and have an excellent reputation.  South Lake Tahoe is a beautiful place to live and we have a great crew!  We are a do all job shop in a tourist area.

We are looking for fabrication skills in new construction and remodels.  Experience with layout and building stairs, railing, gates, and ability to complete miscellaneous projects and repairs in shop.

Experienced in mechanical knowledge and blueprints are required! AWS Certified welder certification preferred. Possible relocation assistance to Lake Tahoe and a signing bonus after 6 months possible. 

Skills/Qualifications:

A successful candidate will be a hard worker, have a can-do attitude, personable, punctual, and safety minded. Must have a thorough understanding of machines and tools used in welding, including maintenance and repair. Will have a basic understanding of mathematics as related to welding and fabrication assignments. The successful candidate will also have a general mechanical knowledge in heavy equipment, trucks, forklifts, tractors, and trailers.
