Responsibilities:
Database Administration Manager (Multiple Positions) (Accenture LLP; Sacramento, CA): Design, implement, and maintain existing and new databases and perform backup/recovery, configuration management, and related operations activities for Accenture or our clients. Administer, develop, and test databases. Install database management systems (DBMS) and provide input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance. Test programs or databases, correct errors, and make necessary modifications. Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans. Provide outage resolution support and perform analysis to resolve recurring database issues. Provide client-facing support and training, database tuning, and performance support. Act independently to determine methods and procedures for new assignments. Supervise a team of database practitioners to gather and interpret user/system requirements into design specifications. Conduct project and issue management (status reporting, issue reporting, ETC/budget reporting) for assigned scope of work, and make decisions that impact the team through regular consultation with senior management. Adhere to strategic direction set by senior management. Interact with client or internal senior management.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Engineering, or a related field, plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the IT consulting industry.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Of the required experience, 5 years of experience must be in each of the following: Oracle6i-12c, Oracle-PLSQL, SQL, UNIX-Shell Scripting, Exadata, Oracle Database Appliances, and Oracle-BI; Oracle development tools, including Oracle Reports 11g; BI platforms, including Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition; Data modeling tools, including ERWIN and SQL Navigator; business analysis, data forensic analysis, and troubleshooting; and conducting software development, analysis, and data optimization for reporting and communicating business problems.
• Must have willingness and ability to travel domestically approximately 80% of the time to meet client needs.
