Shipping and Receiving Associate

Renewable energy is growing fast, and we want you to join our growing team! Nor-Cal Controls is adding a Shipping and Receiving Associate to our busy team!  This position requires a high level of detail, organization and some manual labor.   

OVERVIEW 

Responsibilities will be warehouse shipping and receiving, storing/organizing products, packaging and shipping fabricated products to customers. Works with Procurement Supervisor best practices for the procurement department.

What will a successful Shipping and Receiving Associate accomplish in the first 90 days? 

• Works closely with the Procurement Manager and Departmental Leads to establish Equipment Procurement department best practices and identify process improvements.   
• Updates systems & teams on a per project basis, as needed. 
• Pulls inventory and documents for issued project materials. 
• Perform the shipment and receipt of products, materials, and supplies. 

Minimum Requirements, Skills, and Abilities 

• High School Diploma. 
• Must have ability to lift up to 40 pounds, be mobile, and assist in the warehouse as needed.  
• Adept at picking up technical jargon and understanding technical concepts. 
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Adobe/PDF, Excel, and Word. 
• Must be able to work independently but also have a strong team mentality. 
• Highly organized, proficient planner. 
• Ability to meet deadlines. 
• Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
• Possesses a positive, “can-do” attitude. 

 Preferred Experience 

• Prior experience working in a warehouse environment 
• Shipping experience 
• ERP or inventory/purchasing/planning/shipping software experience
